Additional Information
About AIA/CES
Architects are required in 30 states to complete Mandatory Continuing Education (MCE) for re-licensure. AIA members must complete 18 CES Learning Units (LU's) each year, 8 hours of which must be related to Health, Safety and Welfare (HSW) topics to remain in good standing. Most states that require MCE recognize AIA/CES as the primary source of professional development for their architects. This allows AIA members simply to present their AIA/CES transcripts (and non-AIA members Certificates of Completion) to licensing boards to satisfy state requirements.
About IDCEC/NCIDQ
All continuing education courses given for CEU credit are registered through a sponsoring interior design organization through the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ). Continuing education in interior design is coordinated through the Professional Development Committees of the Interior Design Continuing Education Council (IDCEC) member organizations, comprised of American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), International Interior Design Association (IIDA), Interior Designers of Canada (IDC), Interior Designers Educators Council (IDEC), and National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA). Members must self report their attendance to receive credit for attending seminars.
About IFMA CFM/FMP
These programs are submitted for CFM Maintenance Points. The Professional Development Department of the International Facility Management Association reviews the educational content of all programs. In accordance with the standards set by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET), each course was awarded 1 CFM Maintenance Point. The CFM Maintenance Points awarded are recognized units designed to provide a record of an individual's continuing education accomplishments for renewing the CFM certification. One CFM Maintenance Point is awarded for every 60 minutes of instruction. To earn the maintenance points, place your meeting confirmation notice into your certification maintenance folder and record that you attended the class under the recertification point title "Continuing Education."
