Critical Care Tower Auditorium

Medical City Hospital, Dallas, TX

Challenge:

Located in Dallas, TX, Medical City Hospital worked with our team of experts to design a 32,000 square foot high tech conference and education center for its new state-of-the-art Critical Care Tower. We were tasked with designing and integrating the AV technology for the telemedicine, research and development announcements, public education lectures, and staff training programs offered at the facility.

Solution:

Medical City worked with our company two years prior to construction to design the AV system for the 200-seat auditorium, three divisible classrooms and one standard classroom. We integrated technology into the auditorium with a full range of audiovisual capabilities, including a videoconferencing system with three pan/tilt/zoom cameras for IP videoconference capabilities.

Additionally, the videoconferencing system links the imaging equipment in the operating room to displays in the auditorium, thereby allowing the audience to watch surgical procedures. Our teams custom built a multimedia AV lectern, with multiple floor box connection points on stage for panel discussions. There are three classrooms that can serve as additional viewing space adjacent to the auditorium. The divisible rooms function as individual rooms or as a combined large classroom.

To accommodate the client's need for future videoconferencing upgrades, our teams integrated additional infrastructure from operating rooms to other auditorium areas. Throughout this installation, system equipment is cohesively run with the aid of Liberty Wire and Cable technology.
