Challenge:

Vistakon sought to create a highly-interactive environment for their Vision Care Institute boardroom. This would promote a synergistic think tank where attendees could easily see and hear each other, and effortlessly perform presentations. In addition, Vistakon requested that virtually all the equipment was to be hidden from plain sight. Our company was to provide this seamless look, while supporting cable paths, electrical requirements and ventilation requirements for the equipment.

Solution:

Modifications to the planned structures were made to promote ventilation for the equipment. To meet Vistakon's teleconferencing needs, our teams installed a microphone for every two seats at the conference table. Three large screen projection systems -- supported by full spectrum surround sound program audio, and overhead distributed voice-audio -- were also installed to enhance their teleconferencing environment. In designing the seamless look, all three installed projectors were hidden behind structures, leaving an opening for each lens. Seven pop-up assemblies at the table provide connections for laptops for presentations or other needs. Each popup laptop inlet has a "show me" button working with a primary touch panel. This allows the attendee to have a simple, one-button control over the technology.
